Why B2B Marketing is for me.

Yes, B2B or B2C marketing has its vagaries, and when studied in depth, each has many aspects to deal with. Not everyone can do both, and it’s better to study one in-depth and excel.

Let me elucidate why I can identify more with B2B than the more famous cousin, B2C.

B2C is more masses and more, and I can’t relate to myself being known in a crowd. I might suffocate and choke myself up if left in a crowd. I would be striking a meaningful conversation when it is more segmented and pointed, meaning it cannot be meaty, gossipy, or populous. It needs to be more professional, to the point, and more business-like. So that means I like speaking to people about a product they might be interested in buying. To an aunty, I might have to bring her to my funnel with some storytelling and then slowly sweet talk her down my funnel and tell her, “ If you buy this creme, you will look 20 years younger”. I am not Massey, I realize, and neither can I slowly push them down the funnel.

B2B marketing is more fact-driven and more on understanding clients’ requirements and then selling them first. They may be,, if satisfied,, they might buildbuild their trust, recommend you to others, and look at your other cross-sell pitches. I would be more satisfied and pumped when the trust gets built slowly, which gives me more insight into the client and thus proceed gradually…
