For the uninitiated the life of overthinker is hectic.
We live 2 lives…. Within us I mean. We all have masks … for others. This lives i am referring is within. Fascinating isn’t it?
Not exactly. A experience happens, and there are parallel tracks which happens inside you, yes we are capable of these. Our brains are trained to be so from young age. You doubt 10000 hours of outlairs… we applied here. And at one point, if these strings are not kept in their tracks, they clash …. And then hell breaks loose. Total confusion and mind fuckery.
But that’s not every other time..sometimes only…like May be 80 percent times. So what we like to think through everything before not doing something too. Would you expect us to jump into situations and be spontaneous. Naaa. How can one be? Every situation needs some thinking to it.. that’s why we have been provided our brain. Don’t you think so?
We think 5 alternatives, and we prepare for all. Isn’t being so responsible?
Let me give example
OK, husband enters home and he is silent.
You tried to converse, but no response or no satisfactory response.
So it could be because he had a tough day at work.
No it could be because, he needed tea in a particular way and I insisted on otherwise.
Or could it be because yesterday night, he wanted “it” and you denied it.
last week thing could be, I brought that extra food home, which he dislikes.
Or may be its that comment I made when he was explaining his situation at work few months back. Exactly 3 months back.
Or is it that vacation when I insisted on staying on.
See so many options. You like looking at his face and assess which of these it is. The brow is wringled then its that vacation thing. No it could be the tea thing as he didn’t want tea now.
So we go…… on this trip… which by timeline wise ranges from minutes to years. Isn’t that a capability. Immense one at it.
But it’s fun, a drama is on always in our minds. We don’t need to gossip or watch content for entertainment.
