Taking a break

Isn't it what most of us are told to do when we are tangled in some thoughts?

What does that mean to most of us?

Reading something

Scrolling on internet

Watching something on a channel or on the phone itself.

Is it a break? I wonder. You are distracted from whatever you were tangled in. In that sense, it's a change; you may go back to it and have a fresher perspective.

But are these brain breaks, no science tells us. Any of the above you are still flitting from one to next activity and we are consumed in it. I emerge from these distracted from whatever I was overprocessing, but my brain still consumed and tired. Never knew better to sit and stare around and day dream. That seems to be the best. But the conditioning comes in the way of latching on to any of the activities to be “engaged” and be valuable or productive.
