Straight shooter or clear
In our times as any old person would say, we had only this and we did away with only this. But here I am not to reminsence those days, but in our times when a person openly said a opinion in any context he is said to be straight shooter, who doesnt care about others. There are many labels which used to come with it, arrogant, selfish and many more.
But in the present times kids are raised to express themselves and we applaud their clarity in expression. So now its a trait which is applauded about and most of them are expressive of their needs at the least, hopefully in a closed quarter would be expressive about their intimate feelings too. So now those negative labels just shrivelled away and all those problem kids are no more that but a well accepted individual.
What happens to those who werent those problem kids from those times. They were applauded as the good girl/boy then, because they never had a difference of opinion and they did everything as per the norm. But they were brewing inside. The brew has to come out, may be not the best concoction to be presented as a platter, but that is what it is. If it just doesnt get expressed, I aint sure what it might turn into inside us.
Just as we applaud the younger ones independence, we need to just “Let Be”
