She came in with some clothes to dry clean, she chattered away about it being handled very carefully as her madam is very particular about her clothes and she went on and on about how specific we need to be while handling the clothes, as it is for a specific purpose. She was new in my shop. I tried to place her, but couldn't.

So I opened a new bill page and started entering the details, it was a whole lot of it to take stock of I considered. I opened the bundle and that was the first time I experienced it. I went on to count and examine the clothes, something started wafting in the whole vicinity, which made me tingle a bit in shiver. There were many sarees, blouses, and churidhars, all beautiful colors and of great quality. Now I realize what the fuss was about. These are all exquisite and a thought just wandered so would be the person too. Just withdrew from there, tallied the bill and sent her away.

I quickly closed the bundle and packed it in the bag. I didn't want to open it anymore, was it because I felt I would lose it all if I opened it and started the process? Could be so.

Days passed by, and the bundle was lying in the corner, often looked at but never opened. Then she appeared once more and started her chatter about being on time about delivery and how particular they are about it all. And how one of the items in the bundle is very urgent as well. I looked at her with an apologetic look and she was adept at understanding that the job wasn't done. She started first worrying and then complaining about the delay. She gave me an ultimatum and trotted away in a huff.

If she has this sass, how would the owner of those clothes be, I wondered once more. Pictured her as well.

I opened the bundle with a lot of reluctance and started sorting them. At that time I was in a different zone floating and stumbling, till my next customer was knocking on the counter for attention. I was annoyed at being pulled out of my reverie. Attended to the customer in a huff to go back to those fineries with that exquisite smell. It lingered on and I lingered in it. My assistant came and grabbed all of it from me and swiftly took them all away to the backyard to do the job and he did give me an askance. I cowled for a while and brushed it aside.

She came once more, now I was all armored to know more details. I asked a few questions to find out about the owner, then I saw her face going pale. She with all sadness narrated the story that her madam is no more, she died in the wedding she was attending and the family wants all her fineries cleaned to donate. Now I was pale, was I lingering in something … now all of me started sweating and a waft left me in a huff!
