Marketing nuggets — Woman Centric Advertising — Clinic Plus and MoheyFashion.

It gives pleasure to see some of the brands puts effort to bring out a story in their advertsiements. Flip side of it is that a story to be told it has to be a long form content, no a blip or image. Yes there are classic examples of an image telling stories as well. These video advertsiements I am referring to are more than 60s content, which I keepo wondering if people would watch on internet. On TV ofcourse there is no respite, as there is no option to skip. On everything else there is that option, so would it get the intended audience. And in these advertsiments I see that the main messages are conveyed at almost the end. How many does see these beautiful parts of the ads?

We have seen the marketing folks, does take up certain topics which are emotional to bring about these stories. In India, advertisements still contains these topics like awareness on female infanticide, health, periods, empowerment. And with the recent henious acts against woman which were reported, I think we would need more drilling on these topics for us all to evolve to consider the other half of population to be equals. That said there were certain advertisements which needs mention on that line of thinking of female equality and empowerment which did catch interest.

Interstingly the brand in focus is ClinicPlus, one of the recent advertisement from them #BetiBannKeAana for Daughters Day celebrations is heart warming, story lead and trying to shatter the age old supremacy of sons being preferred as a offspring in India.

Here they have depicted, a expectant mother who is trying to change the narrative which a unborn child in her womb might have heard during the baby shower function from which she moves away. In india still female infanticide is in huge numbers and this just put a torch light on it. Not sure what would help to put the spot light and just reduce these attrocities, just as we want more systems in place for the survived girl children to live fearlessly also.

In this advertisement it was endearing to see a dusky, crooked teethed beautiful model as the mother and shattering this perfect figured ones which are usual. Making it more inclusive. The script to the point and the music added to that just makes you sob for that mothers apprehension of having a girls child in this scenario and her hope that she and her child would be a beacon of change. Let all mothers think that way and raise their daughters to be a so.

Here the girls in the gang is putting across their different perspectives on marriages, which ranges from being ready for marriage at tender age of 22 to being a startup founder and how could that scenario be. All relevant perpectives and tadka( seasoning) of it all was the assurance from the grandma to be themselves when others were rushing the girls to get to the mantap(stage) to get married. Subtle messaging of untoward urgency in these matters which needs relaxation in these changed times for the girls and their biorhythms.

Kudos to brand to bring that freshness to otherwise mundane curvy bodied essaying advertisements in fashion brands.

These stories could inspire us all to change some stories within us!
