Lessons learnt from a happy traveller
Don't know why I am amazed when wise words come out of the young mouths. Maybe because I never used to talk at their age or think, the most I used to think of was next grades and how to ace it. Sad though that was it!
In one of the recent trips met a very young lady and we were talking over drinks, and what kind of topics amazed me!
The scribble you see on the photo is from that, she said that for her respect is the most important thing. How we all tend to overlook that aspect? In any interaction that is the only aspect which gives meaning. How profound right, especially when it comes off mid 20s mouth.
Another golden aspect which got reinforced is the intent behind an action, I had been working on this for some time. That discussion helped me reinforce it. If the intent behind anything is a bit not clear then I have observed that there is a struggle to get it done or talk about it or even execute it. So why do it then, bring the clarity and then go at it right… But this wisdom was non-existent in many of the actions and glad that I am realising that.
Curiosity, oh lord when would I understand this. My therapist says “Look at a situation/person/concept with curiosity”, what the hell is that…. ? I still wonder, but whenever that is done in glimpses, have observed a lot of other emotions gets sidelined like contempt, sheer laziness, haziness. I can say that is only sidelined. Work is to get it non-existent.
But glad our paths crossed @thathappytraveler — keep inspiring with your journies and explorations. More to deeper conversations in another location where all these great qualities are floating around and it imbibes into us. Just like that…..
