Good for profits
As far as he is good for profits, let it go.
Are we always doing this? Would we do the same if it’s a woman? That’s a separate discussion, I guess. Let’s stick to the subject.
We see a lot of trump promoters saying the above. So “Profits” only matter. What is good for normal humans and the earth does not matter. When there is a strong denial of DEI policies and belief in only binary definitions of gender, you think that with a click of your well-kept fingers, you can stop the fighting in a region before whatever their rightful demands are heard and solved. You allow money to be spent on passion projects like going to Mars, self-driving cars, or tunnels only meant for those cars which aren’t actually energy efficient but touted by the rich as their contribution to climate change, which itself isn’t supported by the country which considers itself as the master of the very world. Convuluted, is it? My sentence could be! But the situation is apparent — solving this is one man’s ego. Instead of calling his shots wrong, all other technocrats and moguls nodded, as he was a businessman and would bring profits anyway.
How different is a corporate situation? One tech bully, a policy guy, or a C- level person would be a supremo, and all others are his people as they like to believe; better be in that regime time. He calls the shots, makes the cuts or redistributes resources as he pleases, as he looks at business. So here, the only focus is on what profits he is bringing. We are ready to look through, or slough through (hey, Profits matter! in this grieving economy), what kind of hours are spent on these projects, how many resources aren’t used in the right way and how many lascivious or misogynistic comments, float around, but ignored.
As I ignored it at the beginning, let me return to it once more. Let’s replace he with a she! Would there be a difference? I believe so!
