Thanks to my overactive mind of mine, I made a lot of assumptions and built stories in my head. Recently realized I make a story and revel in it and sometimes experience worry because of those stories. Have to make conscious efforts to snap out of those stories and do a reality check.

The stories could be about anybody. So you being the most important in our lives, have taken it as a birthright to fester over you, fawn over you or it a mother's right to be worried about the child always. Yesteryear's mother actually takes pride in it.

It's you who actually helped me in small doses not to go that Mother-India path. One of the times, I distinctly remember that we were speaking of some grades in school being not as expected. As you were explaining the situation, I interrupted and vocalized my assumption that your efforts were not to the mark. I remember your frustration for being assumed something, which was not the real condition. You expressed your anger and that incident and many more such made me aware that I vocalize my fears, assumptions, and learned experiences as yours and that is really frustrating and incorrect.

It's a lot of unlearn but I have made a lot of effort to do the same. I feel much free as an individual to be around you and many other people, as this burden of assumptions is not there.
