When you were small and tiny, we used to indicate to you things that we didn't want you to meddle with, like a vessel of hot ingredients or a table fan that is running as “It’s Dangerous, No touching!” and that troubled expression on the face. And that worked.

Now the plates just got turned and you indicated to me that the city you are in is “Dangerous”. I was all in my reverie of seeing the brightness, tallness, and neatness of it all being in the world’s major commercial, financial, and cultural centers, NYC. As any young folk of your age is, you enjoy experiencing the city during the night and you say that it's not so safe to be out in a city where most of the public is immigrants and still, there is a lot of hate towards some immigrants. That’s a bit odd, makes me look into why such a hate. I am sure you would find your way to meander these and still enjoy the city as you like it. Just a feeling of discomfort that you would have to meddle with these all by yourself just gave me a iky feeling at that.

Till now we as parents had a feeling I guess that we were around you so you were protected. I know it's just the comfort of being in known circumstances and physically being on call distance. However, in recent times you were out on your own and found a place in Bangalore. And you would find here too. The usual urge to say “It's dangerous!, Be careful”. Keeps coming up. Motherly instinct or vexing quotient whatever you call it.
