Every Friday intend to note down things that were learned or discovered over the week, all to keep myself curious.
Starting with the status of the week: A travel week between countries and thus usual browsing is at its lowest. The most enriching experience professionally would be meeting bankers in the US, who weren't as tight-lipped as we experience in this part of the world, but quite open to ideas on digitization and new frontiers they want to achieve on services they would like to achieve using Fintechs capabilities. Read an update on writing from Karti Subaraman , a Design Group Experience Manager of Microsoft on how to improve on writing in leap.club.
It was a very insightful listicle with these points which I noted. She muses writing to be thinking with fingers as Oglivy says. I recently got to experience it and it has been rewarding too. One of the points in the note which she says is that you don't think to write but you write to think. This profound statement as mused by Seth Godin “Writing is a symptom of thinking “
The Amazon way of writing needs these characteristics
Brevity, Clarity, Specificity, Purpose, Accessibility, For whom, Descriptive, simplicity, and wholistic approach to writing.
Of the above descriptive and additional knowledge on formats needs clarity from my side. This update did have a huge impact on me.
Trivia which intrigued
Andover High school is one of the prestigious ones at that trains a small class of high school kids to be effective individuals (some of the alumni are policy makers and presidents of nations) and it costs equal to a college education.

Ideas which intrigued:
The brand name of a product and the company which they are associated with need not have the same brand dynamics. It is all left to the organization to decide. For example, P&G does not have any brand guidelines associated with its plethora of products, but some others like HDFC has specific guidelines among its products. This was researched when we had to find a brand semblance for the product VICCAS and its parent company vayana.com
The decision at the end was to go the HDFC way, totally on the decision of the decision makers discretion and no standard is specified for this.
