Every Friday intend to note down things that were learned or discovered over the week, all to keep myself curious.

Starting with the status of the week: This week did have some highlights as I emerged from under the rock and attended a conference that had as per organizers around 600-odd people. It's a great win for me to be in that space and absorb a lot of industry trends and such. General gossip: Digital marketing conferences also are catching up on the format of having to put up some gimmicks as the general sales conferences like pink short business suit-clad girls strutting around just to help and excruciatingly high-heeled girls for no purpose just to show your way/ Where are the good looking men was my grouse, here too they assumed that most of the public would be men. On the presenter's side only 20 percent were women, and matter of fact the presentations they did had intent and purpose more. My purpose of being there was to confirm the industry trends that need catching up on and to see these bigwig CMOs from some of the best companies in India. Both the purposes were met and its elaborated on in this Article. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/retention-obsession-engagemint2023-lakshmi-thampi so that's one of the highlights of this week. #OutFromBelowRock

These gives explanations as sketches to some of the moderately complex concepts and they are interesting as well with examples and such.

Sangram Vajres newsletter introduced me to 2 sets of conversations we can have

Trivia which intrigued

Trivia which intrigued me was on water hyacinth, a water-borne plant, this plant was brought to India by a British soldier just to gift to his lover. They are a huge menace in water bodies, which stops navigation, fish survival, and such. An ecological disaster in another country than yours, just to please your lover. So that would be the most disastrous love story I have heard.

Podcasts enjoyed :

Hrithik Roshan was fabulous, in contrast to pretty faces who are blonde global assumption. Actually, I had assumed so, but he was found to be layered witty, and vulnerable. All the right characteristics to fall for the blonde! once more. I realized this is an old podcast just stumbled upon in @Flimcompanion repertoire

Another one which touched me with its positivity in adverse situations and prowess to good usage of language and sass was the one with the influencer Sushant.

do therapy not to be sane … not that we need to be mad — the quote from this.

A reading list from the web

Ideas which intrigued:

The idea of 3 C storytelling, Character, Conflict, and Climax of story telling. This needs exploration. Building up the character to make the hero of the story endearing, Putting out conflicts up front, and then how these dealt with is also told. Makes a nice story they say.

Health tips that worked

Rest more …. sleep would come

Self-discovery moments

Starting with some food thoughts and musing, chronicling the food of our family one recipe at a time.

Story of my healing in parts I am covering. So still on the journey, just one perspective at one early morning

Another concept which I wanted to convey to Pranav Gupta is here

The magic of wonder and curiosity in everything that we do. A kind medium reader did highlight something in it, the proud moment I say.

The highlight of the highlight :)

This one proper self-musing, I discovered I had alopecia and my interactions with a friend just rushed past and so this was written

Note: this also has some text highlighted. Just humblebragging

The Cs in my life. In all aspects, I am drowned in Cs. As per the domain of work, the Cs that I have are curation, content, and creativity. The holy trinity of Cs in growth marketing. Now with VICCAS, the Cs which we extoll on we provide to the customer's Credit, Cash, Compliance. Was amused by the management skills which are also Cs that are needed — coaching, Character, consistency Caring, and much more.
