Am I free?

Freedom to live your life the way you want without hurting others is the modern definition of it.

Now, how can we be controlling the hurt part? How and Why a person gets hurt is dependent on him/her. For example, I might want to smoke, but I know I am discreet with the usage of the substance, as any adult says “I know my limits”. But how can I make sure it does not hurt another person? My parent's perception of it could create a ruffle in him/her, to the extent that there could an assumption that I need substance to survive.

So I ain't sure how can you be free always. It could be so that you live life on your terms, and in abandon that you aren't concerned about others. That is the general perception of the folks who “live it”. Is that a fair assumption?
